HR Department wins Times Higher Education "Outstanding HR Team" Award

The HR Department won the "Outstanding HR Team Award at the Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Award Ceremony in London on 17 June 2010.

Our entry detailed the innovative and diverse initiatives which the department has worked upon over the last year, and our commitment to placing staff at the centre of our University's strategy.

Jane Embley, Director of Human Resources at Nottingham and one of the judges said the panel were impressed by these projects and the dedication show to them by senior managers. "In particular, Women's Progression and the Out@Work Day demonstrated a strong commitment to the equality and diversity agenda, to promoting inclusion and to valuing diversity."

Rosie Valerio, Director of Human Resources at the University of Sheffield says: “We are thrilled to win this national award which marks and celebrates the achievements of the whole HR team. I am always so proud to be working alongside such talented colleagues who are totally committed to their work in nurturing a University environment where each person can flourish and succeed.”
