National Pay Award 2013
The University is implementing the national pay award of 1% in the December 2013 payroll. This will be back-dated to 1 August 2013, with arrears paid with December salaries. Revised pay structures have been published for Grades 1 to 9, non-clinical Professors and Professorial-Equivalent staff.
Although agreement has not been reached at national level between the employers and the recognised trades unions, UCEA have advised institutions to implement the employers' final offer of 1% on all spine points.
The University has taken this decision to implement the pay increase in the interest of the overwhelming majority of staff who are playing no part in the current dispute. For further information on the dispute, please see the Pay Negotiations webpages.
