Portrait of a Woman Project
Join us on Monday 1st October to celebrate the Portrait of a Woman Prize.
Established by Rosie Valerio on her retirement from her position as HR Director with the generous donations of colleagues, the project aims to celebrate the achievements and contributions of past and present female members of staff at the University
Staff across the University were invited to nominate women who have inspired them, resulting in 28 women photographed by leader fine art photographer Anton Want. The project will culminate in one of the nominated women being chosen to have her portrait painted, which will hang in Firth Hall.
Please join us tonight from 5.30pm-7pm to help celebrate this project. As well as the exhibition, there will also being short reflections from the photographer, Anton Want, leading female academics and Kim Streets, from Museums Sheffield
