New Pay Plus for bikes supplier and discounted days out for staff

Pay Plus for bikes

The University has recently added a new supplier to the Pay Plus for bikes scheme. Edinburgh Bicycle Co-operative have opened a new store on Broadfield Road (just off Abbeydale Road), and offer a wide range of bikes to suit all budgets. For the first few months of opening, they are offering a 15% discount on all products. Details of the discount can be found on their website at www.edinburghbicycle.com.

Pay Plus for bikes enables you to receive the loan of a bicycle (suitable for ‎commuting to work) and safety accessories over a period of 12 or 18 months, through ‎a reduction to your salary. This salary reduction means that you save on the cost of ‎the bike, through paying less tax and National Insurance. As a supplier to the Pay Plus for bikes scheme, you can choose the bike you wish to loan from the Edinburgh Bicycle Co-operative, and take advantage of their discount. Full details of Pay Plus for bikes, including the University’s other suppliers, can be found at www.sheffield.ac.uk/payplus/bikes.

There have also been additions to the range of offers and discounts available through the University’s UOffers package. With the Easter holidays approaching, University staff can sign up to Yorkshire’s Magnificent Attractions, to get discounted entry and other offers at a range of family days out in Yorkshire, including the Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham and The Deep in Hull. Also available are a wide range of days out and short breaks through Out and About events, a social club offering members discounted rates. Details of these offers can be found in the Leisure and Entertainment section of the UOffers website, along with other money-saving offers and discounts, at www.sheffield.ac.uk/mybenefits/uoffers.
