At the University of Sheffield we are committed to taking actions to reduce gender imbalances across the University.
This includes work by our Gender Equality Committee, departments working towards Athena SWAN awards and advertising through Where Women Work.

The University of Sheffield is proud of its Silver Athena SWAN award at institutional level and the 21 departments across the University who hold either the Silver or Bronze award.

Gender Equality Committee

This is a sub-group of the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Committee that has representation from each faculty, professional staff and research staff who meet three times a year.

Gender Pay Gap Action Plan

Although our most recent gender pay gap data shows a reduction, it still highlights a lack of gender balance across all grades. We are committed to taking further actions to reduce the pay gap and gender imbalance.
