Developing and supporting you

Staff Development offers a range of options for developing yourself, such as online courses and resources and face-to-face instructor led sessions on a variety of topics. See their pages for further details.

Sheffield Leader is leadership development for University staff who lead, or have the potential to lead. Participation is by nomination for one of 4 levels which vary according to experience, scope and responsibilities.

The Sheffield Professional is a new initiative which aims to recognise the value of Professional Services staff across the University. To date 2 Registrar events have been held and a website has been launched to enable online networking, sharing of ideas and to celebrate our successes. See the pages for ways to get involved.

Policy and Procedural support

Support for youBenefits - University benefits are applicable to all and specifically use language which is inclusive of LGBT+ staff. These include core benefits such as annual leave and work-life balance initiatives such as Juice and flexible working.

Pensions - There are 2 pension schemes available to all University employees dependent on grade. See the pension webpages for further details.
