This procedure outlines the fair, robust and transparent processes to be used during restructuring, whilst seeking to avoid compulsory redundancies where staffing reductions are required.

Redundancy Avoidance Procedure

This procedure outlines the University's commitment to ensure, as far as possible, security of employment and the avoidance of compulsory redundancies for its employees through effective business planning.

Redundancy Procedure

This procedure outlines the processes to be followed in potential redundancy situations following the stage at which all appropriate measures to avoid redundancy have been fully explored in accordance with the measures described in the Redundancy Avoidance Procedure and in the Redeployment Procedure and these have been unsuccessful.

Redundancy Payment Scheme

This guidance outlines the redundancy payment arrangements for instances where it has not been possible to avoid the redundancy through suitable alternative employment, redeployment or other means.
