Parental Leave

The University is fully committed to helping working parents to balance work and family life. The University´s Parental Leave Policy allows staff to take up unpaid leave to look after a child or make arrangements for a child's welfare.

Scope: All eligible employees.

Key Principles:

  1. You have the opportunity to seek a change to your working arrangements through your manager.
  2. Managers will consider all requests for flexible working in a fair and equitable way. Your manager will make a decision taking into consideration the needs of you and your colleagues, your department and the wider University.
