SRDS for early career researchers

To help research staff to fully participate in SRDS, the Faculties of Science and Medicine, Dentistry and Health have adapted the SRDS form for their early career researchers. We are currently exploring the use of this version of the form for the other faculties too.

Although career development is integral to SRDS for all categories of staff and at all career stages, the aim of this adapted form is to give special consideration of this for early career researchers. This will enable an open and honest discussion of personal and career development between reviewer and reviewee, and prompt the reviewee to highlight training and development undertaken, and to identify training needs and opportunities.

Some suggested questions have been devised to assist with the reflection on your work that you will do when completing your SRDS form. These include What is your career aim? and What skills do you have and what training, experience or responsibilities do you now need to achieve your career goal?
