This is the key aim of our approach to promoting equality and diversity at the University. To support the achievement of this aim, a range of development activity is available to help us learn more about equality and diversity, as well as the expectations and responsibilities we share to maintain an inclusive culture.

There are a number of e-learning courses covering a variety of different aspects of equality and diversity:

A useful guide to diversityThe Useful Guide to Diversity will help you to understand equality and diversity, and their relevance and importance in the workplace.

Women only courses

We have some courses specifically for women, as we know that there are some subjects best suited to being delivered in a women-only setting.
These are instructor-led and include:

  • Dealing with difficult situations - This aims to empower individuals to operate in the face of challenging, unexpected or negative situations, by enabling them to skillfully manage themselves and the environment and increasing the available options
  • Get Noticed - This is designed to help women increase their credibility, be taken more seriously, project self-confidence, present their most powerful personal and professional self and receive the recognition they deserve
