2018/2019 Pay Negotiations
Following ballots for industrial action, which did not gain mandates for action, the five trade unions wrote to UCEA on 7 March 2019, formally confirming that they are bringing the 2018-19 pay round to a close.
The 2018-19 national pay negotiations have now been concluded and the University will be implementing the final offer (as below) with effect from 1 August 2018 in August payroll. We are aware that of the five trade unions which participate in the national pay negotiations, GMB have accepted the pay offer, with UCU, UNISON, Unite and EIS (only represented in Scottish universities) rejecting the offer. However in the interests of ensuring colleagues receive the pay offer as quickly as possible we are following guidance issued by UCEA, the employers representative in the negotiations, to implement the pay uplift with effect from 1 August 2018.
The uplifted salary scales can be found on these pages under 'Salary Scales'.
