Profile

Lucy is a prominent advocate for people with disabilities and health conditions, especially for young people. Despite living with a complex, life-limiting condition, Lucy uses her time and abilities to affect change on issues including the transition to adulthood, Palliative Care, complex needs and young adult care, amongst other areas, in ways such as sitting on committees, contributing to research, speaking, written work, holding roles within a variety of charities and organisations and running networks and groups herself, ably supported by Assistance Dog Molly. Lucy was recognised with an MBE in the 2016 New Years Honours for her work.
