Imaging and modelling in medicine and biology

The imaging and computational modeling node of IICD comprises researchers from Academic Radiology, Medical Physics and Mathematical Modeling in Medicine. Research interests include the development of novel imaging technology, image processing methods and computational modeling techniques for better diagnosis and physiological assesment of diseases.

Areas of methodological and enginering research include MR image acqusition, imaging hardware development, image processing and computational fluid dynamics. Clinical research applications of these technologies include cardiovascular disease, respiratory disease, cerebrovascular disease, brain development, pulmonary hypertension and metabolism.
