MSc Advance Electric Machines, Power Electronics and Drives
Winner of a Postgraduate Merit Scholarship
I completed my undergraduate studies from Bahauddin Zakariya University Pakistan. I am currently studying a Masters in Advance Electric Machines, Power Electronics and Drives at The University of Sheffield. After completing my undergraduate studies, I wanted to research and develop projects with world-leading academics, scientists and researchers in the field of electrical engineering, therefore, I decided to apply to various UK universities.
The main reason for selecting The University of Sheffield for my masters studies was its Machines and Drives Group which is the best in the UK for its research. I was quite impressed with its core emphasis on continuous innovation and scientific development in Electrical Engineering. Companies like Rolls Royce and Siemens have their research centres in my department. The university have a very good administrative system in place. I was generally looking for scholarships and stumbled upon the Postgraduate Merit Scholarship which influenced my decision of choosing this university.
Teaching styles at the University of Sheffield are extraordinary they arrange lots of tutorials and revision classes for the students to have good conceptual grip of their respective modules. Study places like The Diamond and Information Commons are open 24/7 to give student access to computers, study spaces and books.
The University of Sheffield is a wise choice if you want to achieve a high standard degree with a lifetime of experience.
