I would say that coming to the University of Sheffield has been the best decision of my life. Studying at a university with world-class facilities and full support from all staff, lecturers and peers, I’ve had a great time, both in and out of university. The courses are engaging and there are a lot of things to do and to get involved in outside of academia as well! The student population here is diverse and no doubt you will meet people from your home countries and also learn more about other cultures.
The Management School is Triple Crown accredited, placing it among the best management schools in the world. My course particularly stood out to me because it offered just the right flexibility to design my own course but also had various core modules to ensure we don’t lose sight of the most important concepts. It also exempts me from a number of exams within various professional qualifications, which I believe would grant me a head start in my career.
During my first year, I had modules such as economics, business challenges and decision making, which were not the main modules on my course but have been a great help in helping me build more knowledge around the subject. I think it is a highlight of my course that is often overlooked.
Overall, it’s been a very enjoyable experience and I am loving every moment of it. Sheffield is a place I would call a home away from home because of the friendly environment, friends, the support available here and all the activities, clubs and societies you can engage in.
