Global Opportunities and Exchanges Update
Erasmus+ scheme rated 'very good'
The University's Erasmus+ student and staff mobility programme has been rated 'very good' by the British Council, the funding agency for the scheme.
This follows a new requirement by the European Commission for participating universities having to report qualitatively on all student and staff mobilities (from Sheffield to partner institutions as well as inbound mobility to Sheffield). The detailed assessment was based on quantitative data and a narrative provided by Global Opportunities & Exchanges.
Criteria included feedback from participating students and staff, teaching, management of our bilateral exchange agreements, financial processes, accommodation, student preparation and support, and promotion of the scheme.
More than 91% of Sheffield students were very satisfied or rather satisfied with their experience in general, with over 96% of inbound students being very satisfied or rather satisfied with their mobility with us. On the staff side, 100% of inbound and outbound participants were very or rather satisfied.

Exchange agreement with Sciences Po expands
Global Opportunities & Exchanges have been cooperating with colleagues from Politics, Law and the French department to expand the existing agreement with Sciences Po to allow more students from a larger number of academic departments to benefit from this exchange agreement. In addition to semester and yearlong study places, the prestigious university, which ranks among the finest institutions in the fields of humanities and social sciences, will now also offer summer school places to our undergraduates.
