Third annual Sheffield Postgraduate Conference in Linguistics
ShefLing2016 (3rd Sheffield Postgraduate Conference in Linguistics) is a multidisciplinary event organised by students, for students. It is run under the auspices of the Centre for Linguistic Research at the University of Sheffield.
The event gives young researchers the opportunity to present their work in a relaxed and inclusive environment, and to learn about the latest directions and advancements in language research.
The conference is attracting staff and students from the University of Sheffield as well as other universities in the UK and beyond. We have presenters from York, Sussex, Newcastle, Birmingham, Cambridge, Northumbria, Portsmouth, Lancaster, Belfast, UCL and Salford, but also Prague and Brno (in Czech Republic), Calabria (in Italy), Thessaloniki (in Greece), and Uludag (in Turkey).
