Sheffield University International Women's Club

• Sheffield University Women's Club is a social support network for female (partners of) international academics, members of staff, postgraduate students, visiting scholars and alumni of the University. It has been successfully operating for over 40 years. We are funded by the university and we are run entirely by volunteers.

When do we meet?

• We officially meet every Wednesday morning during the semester and during the holidays, casual get-togethers are organised by members. We also have several additional activities taking place on other days, such as book clubs, movie/gourmet nights, baby/toddler groups, cook-together, craft cafes, day trips and outings, etc.

• During the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, most of our meetings were moved online and conducted via Zoom. We have been supporting members throughout this period, with occasional outdoor meetings and meetings in private homes when Covid-measure permits.

• In 2022, we will continue to offer meeting opportunities mainly in outdoor settings until the situation improves. However, helpers are more than happy to be approached should any eligible members wish to contact us.
