Collective Intelligence

Much of the information that is most valuable to individuals is not given in its totality to a single mind, but is instead dispersed across the minds of the many individuals who either work in organizations or otherwise participate in society’s activities. This distributed character of information presents a problem for those wishing to access and utilize the information and judgments of others and a mechanism is needed to aggregate the dispersed information. This grant is aimed at developing research capacity and expertise in the area of collective intelligence.
