I have held a variety of senior roles within private consultancies (x2), local government (x3), and government agency (x1). Related to this current role, I gained previous experience commissioning research work, and reviewed community funding applications, as a Catchment delivery manager for the Anglican Region of the Environment Agency. At Sheffield City Council, I co wrote a successful Lottery bid with academic partners, which won in excess of £1 million, which funded the Green Roof Centre at UoS and built on previous academic partnering. In all roles, I have partnered extensively with stakeholders, project managed or programme managed large built environment projects/ themes. I have also held responsibility for strategic policy writing. I took a significant pay cut from the EA, to join the University as a Business Development Manager (BMD) of research in 2013, due to my passion for research and maximising impact.

In addition to my role here, I also work as a project manager for the Institute of Coding, based in our Engineering Faculty at UoS.
