I am currently working as a post-doctoral researcher on the AHRC funded project 'Open Access Mega-Journals and the Future of Scholarly Communication'. The project explores the emerging mega-journal phenomenon through a series of research phases, including a bibliometric study, interviews with publishers, focus groups with academics and a large scale survey.

I hold a BA in English Literature from Durham University, and an MA in American Literature from the University of Sheffield. After several years spent working in Project and Operations Management in the UK and Australia, I returned to Sheffield to complete an MSc in Electronic and Digital Management at the Infromation School and subsequently completed a PhD. This was funded by an AHRC Studentship, with my thesis titled Establishing User Requirements for a Recommender System in an Online Union Catalogue: an Investigation of WorldCat.org. I have since worked as a researcher on a number of projects within the iSchool, including 'Developing a Taxonomy of Search Sessions', 'Understanding the Annotation Process: Annotation for Big Data', 'Investigating Interlending: a Scoping Study' and 'User Preference vs. Performance for Business Intelligence Dashboards'.
