Training & Support

IT Services Creative Media offer training in the use of recording equipment and multimedia production.

Training can be delivered flexibly, tailored to the needs of the audience. We work across the whole of the university and provide training and support on a range of modules. We are also able to support staff training in the use of media equipment and creation as part of their teaching delivery.

We require as much notice as possible in order to get workshops booked in, we are limited in what and when we can deliver workshops so please get in touch with us as soon as possible so we can arrange to meet to discuss the workshop requirements.

If you would like to arrange a training session please complete the Training Request Form or send us an email to discuss further.

Drop in Support

Our helpdesk and dedicated team are able to offer drop in support whether it be to seek advice on our equipment or to get help with some editing, you can come to the Level 4 Helpdesk in The Diamond and we will do our best to help.

Online Material

We also have a range of online material that works alongside our workshops and can be uploaded to the module Blackboard site.

Please Note:

All our workshops can be modified and split up depending on the training required, they can also be combined.

Students get more out of the practical sessions and we highly recommend that students are allowed to participate in the practical elements of the workshops as this is where we are able to engage more with the students and give them feedback on the work they are doing.

All our sessions will include some theory based work that goes through the basics of filmmaking.

We work across the university in ways to integrate our workshops into modules across all levels, if you are a member of staff who wishes to use the Creative Media Service in anyway please contact us so we can discuss how the service can help you and your module.
