Macintosh Mailing List

The Macintosh Mailing list is a forum for Macintosh users at the University of Sheffield, and all Mac users are encouraged to join. It is a useful channel for exchanging ideas and information. Note that it is a closed list so you can only send an email to it using your university email address.

Sending Messages

To send a message to the Mac mailing list, compose the message and send to

Joining the Group

  1. Go to Google Groups from MUSE
  2. From the Home screen, type Macintosh in the search field.
  3. Press the Search button. A list of groups and messages is displayed.
  4. Click on a group name, "Macintosh Users".
  5. Click on the 'Join group' button. The Join group dialog box appears.
  6. Fill in the options on the Join Group dialog box.
  7. Click the Join this group button. You are now a member of the group.

Leaving the group

  1. Go to Google Groups from MUSE
  2. Select My groups from the menu on the left.
  3. Select the name of the group you wish to leave.
  4. Click the My membership button to the right of the group name.
  5. In the pop-up box, click on Leave group at the bottom left.
