Statistics and Graphs with R Commander
For users to be able to carry out simple descriptive analyses and bi-variate analyses using R Commander in R
A familiarity with Windows environment and a willingness to use the Internet.
R commander is the most widely used R-package that provides the user with a graphical user interface to R. It both carries out the analysis and stores the script and markdown to repeat the analysis. It covers many of the frequently used statistical and graphical analyses but specialised analyses will still require the user to write code. R Commander therefore provides a useful halfway house for people who are used to graphical user interfaces (as in SPSS or Minitab) and R itself which relies on programming ability. This is an introductory course and aims to help users carry out the initial stages of a statistical analysis including drawing appropriate graphs.
