New York seminar date for Conboy
Professor Martin Conboy has been invited to join a public seminar in New York hosted by Columbia University’s Journalism School to debate the topic: ‘Free Market, Free Press? The Political Economy of News Reporting in Great Britain and the United States since 1688’.
The seminar will take place in New York on 16 and 17 November.
It is organized by Richard John and will draw upon contributions from prominent scholars of journalism history including Michael Schudson from Columbia and Robert Picard from the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, Oxford University.
It will engage in dialogue with Economics Nobel Prize winner, Joseph E. Stiglitz on behalf of the University of Columbia's Committee on Global Thought.
