Magazines created by our students
As part of their degree, Sheffield journalism students create their own magazines, from concept right through to publication. Use the viewers below to look at some of the magazines they've created in recent years... then apply for the course and you could soon be editing a title of your own.
Talent
Talent is a magazine for young people in the performing arts, scouring the UK for the best interviews, the hottest gossip, and the most exclusive industry news. It was created by a group of our students and won the Felix Dennis Memorial Best Digital Only prize at the national Magazine Academy awards in 2014.
Eurofoot
A publication for fans of European football, including an exclusive one-on-one interview with World Cup and Ballon d’Or winner Lothar Matthäus. Eurofoot was created by our students Dan Rawley, Sam Koster, Lewis Catchpole, Reginaldo Rosario, Joe Alborough and Ben Moorcroft.
Ada
Named after the 19th-century computing pioneer and mathematician Ada Lovelace, this is a magazine for young girls who believe in being curious, fearless, intelligent and strong. It was created by our students Holly Homewood, Shona Jackson, Becky Bargh, Danielle Mustarde, Sian Bradley and Judith Torner for their MA Magazine Journalism degree in 2017.
Shorts
A cinema magazine with a difference, Shorts focuses exclusively on short films. It was created in 2017 by our students Kris Pradipta, Xizi Lyu, Sarah Baxter, Richard Priday, Natasha Gregson and Darragh Murphy.
