Eligibility, Finance and Funding:

MA1 students can only apply for Erasmus+, UG2 students can apply for both Erasmus+ and Study Abroad.
Additional costs can include:
  • Funding and Finances
  • No tuition fees are payable to the host University.
  • Your tuition fees at UShef will be reduced.
  • Home and overseas students are eligible for Erasmus Grant.
  • Other Grants and fellowships can be added.

Spending Time Abroad

Language Preparation

The Modern Languages Teaching Centre: beginners to advanced courses in French, German, Italian and Spanish, and beginners' courses in Arabic, Latin and Portuguese.

The School of East Asian Studies: East Asian languages.

The School of Languages and Cultures: modules in French, Hispanic Studies, Germanic Studies and Russian and Slavonic.

The Students' Union 'Give It A Go' programme offers short beginners courses which are perfect for holidays or as preparation for your year abroad .
