Assessment period: May 9th 2022 to June 11th 2022
The way you study and where you work best is unique to you. To ensure that you have the space and resources necessary, extra study space will be made available throughout the assessment period to ensure that you have a place to work, either in the library or across campus.
This page is updated each assessment period to give you the most up-to-date information about where you can study.
Library access restrictions during the assessment period
For the duration of the assessment period, Western Bank Library and the Royal Hallamshire Hospital will be closed to visitors, external readers and SCONUL Band R members.
Sheffield Teaching Hospital staff will still be able to sign in to RHH during this time.
Safe in your space
We know you’ll be spending more time in the library as the assessment period approaches, and we want to make sure that everyone feels safe in their space. If you have any concerns or if you feel unsafe in the library, contact us on library@sheffield.ac.uk, or speak to the Facilities Assistants on site. You can also download “Safezone”, a free phone app that allows you to contact security services quickly and discreetly, around the clock.
Extra study space in the library
Level 4 in Western Bank Library will be Silent Study for the duration of the assessment period and the group spaces will be used as walk-in spaces for the duration of the assessment period.
Extra study space around campus
Please note that Please note that teaching buildings won’t be open over the Bank Holiday or over the weekends.
