What auxiliary aids are available?

In addition to the services and equipment detailed on our web pages for disabled and dyslexic customers, we offer the following:

  • Induction loop systems at the information points in The Diamond (level 4), The Information Commons (IC) and Libraries. Portable hearing loops are available for use at other service points
  • Self-propelling wheelchairs at the IC and Western Bank Library
  • Low level photocopiers
  • Baskets on wheels in the IC and most Library sites
  • A trolley to carry books (Western Bank Library)
  • Large screen monitors and large print keyboards. (Please see the ‘IT Services - Hardware’ section of Accessing CiCS Services)
  • Large screen PC monitors and large print keyboards. Please see Accessing CiCS Services for further details
  • Coloured paper for photocopying if recommended in your Assessment of Needs
  • Coloured overlays can be obtained from the Disability and Dyslexia Support Service
