The Cochrane Library is a collection of databases that contain different types of high-quality, independent evidence to inform healthcare decision-making. The Cochrane Library is owned by Cochrane and published by Wiley. Databases available are:
- Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews
- Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials
- Cochrane Clinical Answers
All residents of England can access the Cochrane Library for free, thanks to funding provided by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). See 'Access options for the Cochrane Library' for further information.
