Eighteenth Century Journals
Eighteenth Century Journals provides digitised images of journals printed between c.1685 and 1835. The collection offers a broad representation of the culture of print journalism in the eighteenth century, covering all aspects of social, political and literary life. The University of Sheffield subscribes to Modules I, II and III as follows:
- Module I provides digital versions of content from the Hope Collection at the Bodleian Library, Oxford
- Module II is based on holdings of the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center at the University of Texas, Austin
- Module III focuses largely on material published outside London, including newspapers from across the British Empire, Ireland, Scotland and provincial England
