Struggles for Freedom: Southern Africa

Struggles for Freedom: Southern Africa is a collection of thousands of objects, documents and images in 76 sub-collections. Materials, including interviews, periodicals, posters, and photographs, document the liberation of Southern Africa and the dismantling of the Apartheid regime, with a focus on colonial rule, the dispersion of exiles, and international intervention. Items were selected with the guidance of national advisory committees in six African countries and scholars from outside the region.
