Public Information Online provides full text access to UK Parliamentary, Scottish Parliamentary, Northern Ireland Assembly, Scottish Government and Non-Parliamentary publications. Material is available from 2006/07 onwards.

British government: key websites
Legislation (Acts and Statutory Instruments) for the United Kingdom from 1267 to the present day is on the Legislation site.
The Parliament website has links to many Parliamentary publications.
 One of the most useful is the full archive of Select Committee reports from 1997. There is also a link to Hansard from 1988. Datasets are available at www.data.parliament.uk
The web portal for the UK is Gov.uk. The Scottish web portal is DirectScot.
All UK Local Authorities/Councils.
UK Treaties Online published by the Foreign Office links to all treaties in force.

British Government: print resources

Print collections of government publications in the University library run from the 17th century until the early 21st century. Individual titles are shelved in different sequences, check StarPlus for details.

Parliamentary documents from the 17th Century and earlier can be found in the Record Societies collection.

House of Commons Sessional Papers of the Eighteenth Century is a 144 volume collection.

USA.gov is the website information portal for the United States. There’s also a site for the White House.

Directory of Federal agencies maintained by Louisiana State University

State and County Quickfacts from the US Census Bureau.

UK Parliamentary Papers
includes papers from the 18th century (1688-1834), 19th century (1801-1900), 20th century (1901-2003/2004 session) and Hansard (1803-2005).

Hansard from 1803 is available on a freely available site but it is incomplete before 1818
