Information for Academic Staff
Using our Information and digital literacy framework we work with programme leaders to ensure the learning outcomes of their programmes support the graduate attributes around information and digital literacy. By working with programme design teams at the outset we can ensure seamless integration of information and digital literacy in modules and assignments at the correct stages for student progression. Our IDL offer has been developed with and endorsed by the University’s Learning and Teaching Committee. Embedding information and digital literacy tutorials and librarian led workshops into your own courses is an effective way to support and improve the information and digital literacy of your students. Information and digital literacy is a Sheffield Graduate Attribute.
Departmental Library Coordinator (DLC)
The Library works in close partnership with academic departments and the role of the Departmental Library Coordinator (DLC) is central to this. We want to ensure that academic colleagues, students and administrative staff are all aware of the wide range of services and resources we provide to support learning, teaching and research.
Faculty Engagement Team
The Faculty Engagement Team (FET) works at departmental level and also in partnership with faculties to ensure that the academic enterprise is fully supported by the library and that effective and efficient use is made of library resources by staff. The library has created copyright webpages to support our staff and students to make appropriate decisions with regard to copyrighted material, both their own and that of others.
