LIGO IndiaLIGO India – A Sheffield-based team from Management and Physics joined colleagues at the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics in Pune to transfer knowledge and experience relating to UK experience in both fundamental research and extraction of economic and social benefit through practical application of bespoke technologies that are an artefact of scientific research. This outreach activity was supported with the cooperation of Professor Giles Hammond at the University of Glasgow.

European Spallation SourceEuropean Spallation Source, Sweden – The world’s most powerful source of neutron beams – currently under construction. recently held a workshop on the challenges faced by Big Science projects including – but not limited to – development of suitable supply chains brought together the fusion, spallation and gravitational wave communities with management researchers to explore the challenges and opportunities relating to supply chain, project management and human resources.
