The effects of political interference on financial and economic performance of SOEs
Scope of Research (aims and objectives)
The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of elections on board member changes and its relationship with profit-oriented performance of state-owned enterprises (SOEs), thus contributing to greater understanding of political tie heterogeneity. Moreover, it examines the election related manipulation of SOE corporate decisions with the aim of garnering voters support.
