Victoria-Sophie Osburg holds a PhD in Marketing and an MSc and BSc in Psychology from the University of Goettingen, Germany.

Before joining Sheffield University Management School, she worked at the University of Hull, UK, and the University of Goettingen, Germany.

Her core interests are in the area of sustainability marketing and ethical consumption, both, in the traditional retailing as well as e-tailing context.

Victoria has published several articles in leading journals (e.g., Journal of Service Research, Tourism Management, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business Research).

She also works as a Guest Editor for the Journal of Business Ethics and Journal of Business Research.

Research interests

She is currently researching several topical issues within the subject areas of sustainability marketing, digital marketing and consumer psychology.

Victoria is collaborating with colleagues from several institutions (e.g., KEDGE Business School, University of Bath, University of Lille, University of Auckland) and she is engaged in a range of interdisciplinary projects.

Victoria is interested in supervising PhD students in the following topics:

Teaching activities

Victoria has broad teaching experience and is currently the module leader of MGT397 Consumer Psychology and MGT3008 Socially Responsible Marketing.

She has taught in different countries (UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, France, Germany), and delivered modules across all levels (undergraduate, postgraduate, MBA). Victoria has also substantial Programme Directorship experience.

Her teaching expertise covers additional areas such as Marketing, Marketing Management, Marketing Communications and Branding, Social and Not-for-Profit Marketing, Campaign and Media Planning.

Professional activities

She is Guest Editor of a Thematic Symposium on ethical and sustainable luxury (Journal of Business Ethics) and a Special Issue on eWoM (Journal of Business Research)

She is co-track chair of the AMS World Marketing Congress 2019 and 2020 and an advisory expert of the World Alliance for Efficient Solutions.
