Profile

Mostafa's teaching and research is influenced by his background as an auditor with Ernst and Young. In 2010, he passed the uniform CPA examination from California board of accountancy in the United States.

He holds a MSc. in Accounting, Organisations and Institutions from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) which was fully funded by the British Chevening Scholarship and HSBC UK.

Research interests

Mostafa's primary research interests are audit reporting, audit quality, financial reporting quality and corporate governance.

Teaching activities

Mostafa leads the lectures for MGT 132 Introduction to Financial Accounting in the spring semester where he introduces the students to the accounting for publicly listed companies.

He is also involved in the teaching of the following undergraduate and postgraduate modules:

  • MGT 355 Advances in Financial Accounting
  • MGT 388 Finance and Law for Engineers
