I see teaching as an important way of collaborating with the new generation in helping to build a sustainable future on the planet Earth. My teaching role is to facilitate provision and offer opportunities for personal growth which comes with the education. I try to include my research and example of experiences I have come across which are relevant to my teaching.
Olga is a module leader for the first year Introduction to Financial Accounting module (MGT 132). She is also contributing in a role of a module assistant on the second and third year of Financial Accounting Modules (MGT 225 and MGT 355). Students from the modules can drop in to her via regular ‘office hours’ or drop in sessions prior to exams.
In her role as a personal tutor Olga has a number of personal tutees who are welcome to turn to her for support and guidance via email or in person.
Olga has registered for a PhD in accounting where she is looking at the teaching of accounting from the critical accounting angle. Olga's research interest in this area has been driven by her work as an accounting lecturer and she is particularly interested in enquiring about the presence of social and environmental accounting dimension in the initial accounting education offered by a range of existing accounting education providers.
