1:1 Statistics Tutorials
We provide support to help you perform well during your time at Sheffield. Our role is advisory; we won't carry out analyses for you but we can help you understand core concepts and the techniques that you need to use.
A few things to bear in mind:
- When attending your session, have all relevant materials available with you (lecture notes, project specification, data, etc.);
- Think about what it is that you want to address before the start of the meeting;
- We cannot perform a statistical analysis of data which is part of a university assessment but we can help you understand core concepts and learn the skills that you may need for your analysis; this includes sample size calculations: we can help you understand what is necessary to perform a sample size calculation but we do not undertake sample size calculations on behalf of students doing research;
- MASH cannot take responsibility for the outcome of your work. Our advisors do not monitor or evaluate work undertaken as a result of an advice session.
Location: Digital 1:1 via Blackboard Collaborate. Details will be sent to you prior to your meeting.
