Face-to-face Workshops

Calculus Refresher

These workshops are aimed at students from all disciplines, and recap the fundamental methods and rules covered in the A-level and first year undergraduate courses. It is expected that you will have covered these topics at some point in your studies, so that these workshops complement your revision

Mathematics Booster Workshops

These workshops are designed to reinforce key topics common to most first and second year engineering, science, or related maths modules. The aim is to get extra help and practice with important examples, rather than to cover extensive theory, which should be covered in your course. They are open to all students across the university, but you should have a basic knowledge of the topic area before attending the workshop

MASH workshops are HEAR accredited and attendance can count towards the Academic Skills Certificate. Attend any four MASH or 301 Academic Skills workshops to gain the certificate. It provides you with an opportunity to gain recognition for attendance and demonstrate your commitment to enhancing the skills required for you to succeed.

MASH is based at 301: Academic Skills Centre which also offers a wide range of academic skills workshops
