Boyang Liu
Department of Materials Science and Engineering
Research Associate
- Profile
-
Boyang obtained his BEng in Polymer Materials and Engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology and a MSc in Nanomaterials and Materials Science from the University of Sheffield, where he continued studying as a PhD student in 2019.
Supervised by Dr Frederik Claeyssens, he is currently working on polymeric scaffolds for bone tissue engineering (co-supervised by Dr Nicola Green and Dr Cornelia Rodenburg).
- Research interests
-
Boyang's PhD work is mainly focusing on the physical and chemical properties of photocurable poly(glycerol sebacate)-based and polycaprolactone-based materials for bone tissue engineering and light-based additive manufacturing methods (including two-photon 3D printing).
