Financial help

The University of Sheffield offers bursaries and scholarships to many students. Eligibility is based on various criteria, for example where students live, their grades and their household income.



Tuition fees – what you need to know

  • Most UK/EU students do not have to pay anything up front to come to university
  • Loans are available to cover tuition fees and living costs
  • If you are doing a four year course, your loan will cover the extra year of your studies
  • You only start to repay your loans after you have graduated and have started to earn a sufficient salary.  The current salary limit is given on the page below.
