Studentships

On this page you can find out about PhD opportunities currently available in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. We have divided the projects into two groups.

Once you have identified a project, a supervisor and a source of funding, you can complete the University's postgraduate application form.

Other PhD opportunities

SelfPhDMany other PhD projects that do not come with funding are also available in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. However, you may be able to fund yourself with, for example, a scholarship.

It is a good idea to contact the supervisor of any PhD opportunity you want to apply for, before you submit your application, as they may be able to advise you on other sources of funding.

Funding your PhD

Do you have your own idea for a project?

Find a potential supervisor by visiting our research webpages. Choose a theme and contact a member of academic staff to find out about PhD opportunities in their area. Staff that have projects currently available have a green 'fully funded PhD' or a blue 'self-funded PhD' icon next to their name.
