Alumni banner

As an Alumnus of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, your relationship with us doesn’t end when you graduate.

We like to maintain strong links with our former students and staff, so please do keep in touch with us - whether you graduated only recently or some time ago, we’d love to hear from you!

There are many ways you can still be involved with the Department. As well as sharing your news and graduate testimonials, which can inspire recent graduates and current students, you could also volunteer at the University of Sheffield – it’s a fantastic way to stay connected to the University whilst making a huge difference to current and prospective students.

Tell us your news

We’re always interested in hearing what our alumni have been getting up to. If you would like to share details of any exciting news you may have, please email k.buck@sheffield.ac.uk with details.

We are looking for articles 250-300 words long, accompanied by a photograph.

Share your story

You can inspire the future generation of graduates by simply sharing your experiences following graduation and your advice for both current and prospective students.

Contact k.buck@sheffield.ac.uk for further information on graduate profiles.

Volunteer

There are lots of ways that you can support current students. You could give advice through careers talks and mentoring schemes or use your expertise to give feedback on a student project and take part in specialist skills masterclasses and workshops.
