Uncertain Finite Element Modelling

The use of the finite element method is firmly established in many disciplines in mechanical engineering, however there are many applications which have yet to be fully explored, one of which is its use in conjunction with uncertainty methods. This project focuses on the application of finite element analysis to large uncertain scenarios such as the modelling of the brain skull interaction during various dynamic scenarios. This will be used to investigate the significance of different parameters and their effect on the level of damage the brain experiences during different scenarios such as vibration and impact.
Previous experience / requirements: Some experience of using finite element analysis may be useful in order to progress quickly with the study
