Microcracks Detection and Prediction in Printed Engineering Parts obtained by Laser Sintering
The aim of this research is to investigate the effect to which un-melted particles influence the behaviour of the onset and propagation of microcracks in printed engineering parts. 3D printing has become an innovative valid manufacturing technology. However, there are issues yet to be well-understood. This investigation would ideally be conducted with a combination of finite element analyses and experimentation to understand the process of failure on laser sintered designs.
