Mrs Michelle Hepworth

After a career in the nursing profession, I joined the team at the Clinical Skills Centre in November 2001 as a Clinical Skills Educator. My main responsibilities include the planning, development and delivery of clinical skills teaching sessions appropriate to the needs of the medical, dental and nursing students; utilising current research based practice.

I have a BA Hons in Education and Training and have a special interest in the integration of communications skills within clinical skills practice. My research has been implemented into the delivery of the current teaching sessions which are delivered here.

I also contribute towards the running of the Patients as Educators programme, which involves the recruitment and training of patients to complement the teaching and assessment of our students.
