Biography

I graduated from Medical School in Sheffield in 1993, and spent time working in paediatrics in Dublin, rural South Africa and Bristol before moving back to Sheffield to undertake GP training in 2001.

I worked as a GP partner at The Crookes Practice in Sheffield from 2005 to 2015 and currently works as a freelance GP, doing locum work, Out of Hours care, coaching/mentoring and Undergraduate teaching. I have been involved in Undergraduate group teaching since 2004.

My special interests are in mental health, substance misuse, paediatrics and medical education. I have been awarded four teaching awards by University of Sheffield Medical School for teaching excellence in Primary Care (2012-2015).

I joined the AUPMC as an Academic Training Fellow in Teaching in November 2015.
