Battle and Bloodshed: Representations of War in the Middle Ages

Interdisciplinary Medieval Studies Conference hosted by the Humanities Research Institute, University of Sheffield.
"Battle & Bloodshed: Representations of War in the Middle Ages" is an interdisciplinary conference designed to foster and promote cross-disciplinary discussion and exchange in the field of Medieval Studies. It will provide a forum for case-studies and interpretation of expressions and representations of warfare in medieval society.
We are delighted to confirm that our keynote speaker will be Dr Karen Watts, Senior Curator of European Armour at the Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds.
The conference takes place at the The Humanities Research Institute (HRI), University of Sheffield and is being organised by medievalists in the Department of French, School of Modern Languages and Linguistics: Dr. Katariina Närä, Lorna Bleach and Keira Borrill.
